EME2040 Journal 6
This was my first time ever using Diigo and I could honestly say it wasn't that hard to navigate. At first I wasn't so sure about using the new site but it actually is starting to come natural with the help of the youtube tutorial videos. If I had to choose something that I like about the site it will be that I love the separation between "Your Library" and "The Groups". This helps keep organization and easier for me to find things in a hurry. Diigo is a great site , it kind of reminds me of blooger but just for educational purposes.
My experience with blogging isn't far behind but neither is it far advanced. If you consider posting pictures on instagram and snapchat a blogging process then I am very familiar with this process. I have never formally blogged like this before and honestly it isn't that bad. I kind of look at it as if it is my mini diary for educational purposes. The one thing that I absolutely love about this blogging process is that I am free to actually express how I really feel without being judged by anyone but my teacher. I don't mind constructive crictism , as long as it is by someone genuine like my professor. So far, I have learned that this is a safe place to discuss work and it is actually something I will allow for my future students to use.
One very interesting Web 2.0 tool that I consider using in my future classroom is the software Edmodo. Im personally familiar with this software. Edmodo is a site something like canvas. At my previous job the kids used this software as a tool for parents and students to do have all access to class work and homework. This site is very interactive with both parents and students and this is also one of the most important things when dealing with my grade level of teaching. It is a very easy to navigate site for kids in the first grade and this is why I love it.
