EME 2040 Journal 10

 When I become a teacher I would like to teacher first grade reading. I feel like this is around the age when a child mind can finally learn to interpret what they are reading while they are reading it. I feel that my use of data collection tools such as surveys can actually be very helpful for my students. Reason being because it will give the opportunity to see where all of my students academic levels are in the class without them feeling a sense of embarrassment. Most likely I will already know who needs help in the different areas but these data collection tools will help them feel a sense of reassurance that they will not be embarrassed if they are not on the same academic level as their peers. I love this data collection tool because it actually kills two birds in one stone by helping me to get a better sense of my kids academic levels and allowing them to feel safe in my class. 

For starters, I just love that we are able to visit each others blogs because it actually makes it fun and interesting that we actually have some of the same interest we didn't even know about. Being able to see how creative some individuals were with their bitmoji classrooms was awesome as well. When reviewing my classmate Rosa's blog I noticed that she wants to be a Kinder garden teacher , well at least based upon her website. I found it interesting that although we won't teacher the same grade we still have similar interest in teaching in the Elementary school setting.  It's just always cool to see others with the same interesting topics just like your own. 

The technology-related skill I would like to learn next is Spreadsheets and learning to work with things in Excel. Im sort of familiar with these type of things but I want to learn to master the skill of these without hesitation. I love being organized and I feel that both of these technology-related softwares are just the right learning tool I need to be comfortable with. Learning the ins and outs of these softwares will be without a doubt a great thing to learn.
